Siping 854 Cultural Ecological Industrial Park
Siping 854 Cultural Ecological Industrial Park project takes its concept from the history of the area and its unique location. A wonderful park surrounded by trees 50 years old and over 40 buildings being the location for the production of bulbs and electricity wires to generate light not long ago. Now with the development of technology and the appearance of LED the factory has no use.
Facing the commission to renovate and create new functions for the whole area (80,000sqm), we propose a concept which combines history, technology, and natural environment for the family and people of not only Siping area but from all around Jilin province and north east China.
The masterplan geometry takes the idea of electric wires to create curve axis and smooth lines in the 3 dimensional space. Landscape, bridges, double skin in the facade of the buildings, sliding slopes and outdoor furniture are all connected with the history of the place and the new playful and creative functions for the community.
A kindergarten, art school, swimming pool, gym, water park, spa, offices, share working space, basketball court, shops, cafes, restaurants, art galleries, point view tower, party house, villa and space for over 400 cars were set on the site.
Leisure, healthy life style, learning, working environments and art will make a unique place totally different from the concept of shopping malls.
